Bill Sheridan

Hey guys.

I do not like Sheridan's answers to reporters questions. http://newyorkfootballgiantstalk.com/2009/10/sheridan-does-not-come-clean.htmlhttp://newyorkfootballgiantstalk.com/2009/10/sheridan-does-not-come-clean.html

In fact, in Brian Billick's new book, More Than A Game, here is a passage about Saints Head Coach Sean Payton: Offensive minds like Sean Payton and Mike Martz will tell you that they like being able to dictate to the defense the pace of the game rather than the other way around. There is no secret Payton likes to dictate the pace of a game. Sheridan tells us, "Obviously you never anticipate something like that happening."

I hope Sheridan is not another Rod Rust.

I think there is too much talent on this team. If they falter this year, Coughlin is the problem. In my judgment, during his tenure, there have been too many games in which the Giants have been outcoached. ie 2006 Panthers Wildcard playoff, 2006 Seattle Debacle, 2006 Jacksonville game, 2009 NFC Divsional Playoff against Philly.

Coordinators have changed. The constant has been Coughlin. He got a reprieve because of Super Bowl XLII. We shall see if he can win another championship.

I'm not blaming coaches quite yet.
This Giants defense should be playing better than they are by winning their one-on-one matchups. I see way to much of Dave Tollefson out there and that's not going to help you win games while Osi and Tuck are on the sides taking breathers.

Lets also remember we have a new coaching on defense (although based on existing schemes) and have changed our passing game substantially

there is naturally some period of adjustment and settling in and at times there will be hurdles for the team to deal with

I think it is only fair to see how the coaching staff respond
