Things were as good as they could possibly get past Sunday during the Giants bye.

DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

It had been more than a month since the Giants have had a weekend as good as this past one. Now all they have to do is make sure their good fortune pays off.

While the Giants were enjoying their much-needed bye week, there was carnage in the NFC East on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys were ...

The Giants are obviously not performing anywhere near expectations this year. Currently I expect the team to rebound somewhat, but we are also facing a tougher schedule. I think we will end up at 8-8 or 9-7 this season (although I hope I am wrong). (I wouldn't be surprised to see us drafting somewhere around 16).

Here is what I would do to fix the Giants current thoughts for the 2010 offseason

The bye week is a pretty slow week, particularly with this team's performance this season.

I thought I would try and start some interesting discussion. As a starting point I will start with my current thoughts.

I want to remain optimistic, but we are entering a tough stretch. I do think we will ply better, but my gut feeling is that we go 4-3 or 3-4 over the back half the season. Which means we will miss out on the playoff and probably end up drafting somewhere around the middle of ...

Here is my thoughts of the draft/offseason (they really go together) from 2 Nov

Bear in mind I have taken into consideration the fact that we will see alot of underclassmen (likely substantially more than the 50 we have had in recent years).

I don't think you can separate the draft from the rest of the offseason process, they are very much interlinked imho

What a difference a week makes. I thought the Eagles game will be a pivotal point in the season. Lets face it, we were soundly ...

The Giants had a promising start to the season. With the disappointing losses in the last two weeks, it is understandable for many people to ask: Is this a bump in the road or are the Giants just not as good as expected?

I suspect the answer is a bit of both. The biggest It seems to me that are the large number of potent power rushing attacks last season, teams are focusing on stopping ...

Note: Once Ross is back healthy, I expect Ross or Thomas (more likely) Ross to move to FS. Ross is physical and instinctive. For a corner he is an excellent tackler with exceptional run support. It is worth noting that Ross is a very similar size to Ed Reed. With the prolific ...

Background - I expect a lot of underclassmen to declare for the draft, we have had around 50 each of the last few years. This will signigicantly impact where seniors end up. I have also assumed there is no new CBA in place for 2010.
