Looking at a broader spectrum than just this year, who do you think is the worst NFL owner?

Al Davis from the Raiders. At least when it comes down to drafting talent.

I would say Paul Brown from the Bengals.

His spendthrift attitude has long hampered the ability to bring in an retain elite talent.

Agreed. Something like 2 winning seasons in 20 years. Now Paul Brown is a Hall of Famer who made huge contribtutions to the NFL. Mike Brown fell far from the tree. He wouldn't know what to do with a football if it him in the face.

As an owner, Synder is committed to putting a quality team on the field, but has gone about it the wrong way. He has been willing to put his money on the table to get it done. He just doesn't understand team composition well enough, and because he is going by big name and thus big contracts, they affect the team for some time.

What Snyder really suffers from is a lack of a quality GM, someone who knows how to build a team and identify talent to fit the system.

Think about it for a minute, how do you think Synder would have gone if he had someone like Scott Pioli running the show for the last couple of years?

Ironically Jerry Jones has similar issues (lack of quality GM).
A team is much more than a group of talented individual players.

I have to disagree with the comparison Pete. The only things Jerry and Danny have in common are lots of money and being disliked by majority of football fans.

Jerry has a very high football I.Q. and background in the sport. The man knows what it takes to win, as evidence of his Super bowls. You can't question that. I actually think Jerry is one of the better owners in the NFL.

You have good points, but Jerry should have a GM imho that is as far as I make the comparison

But he probably is in the top 10 owners in the league (doesn't mean I like his style)

Agreed! IMO Snyder has been trying to buy a championship for a long while now and isn't retaining the coaching staff. Also, he seems to be more of a fan than an owner. Being buddy buddy with the players wont get you anywhere. They will love you as an owner, but when you develop relationships that you cannot (or have a hard time) part with, your team just becomes stagnant.
