What is chance that Shockey be a Giant at the start of the 2009 season?
Will Shockey be giant in 2009?
I know there is a heap of uncertainty at the moment about Shockey
With that in mind, what do you think the chance that Shockey will be a Giant at the start of the 2009 season.
The Facts
1. Shockey is not happy with the Giants
2. Reese has explored trades and is open to offers. The Giants are prepared to move on without Shockey if necessary. Reese will only part with Shockey if he gets good value for him.
3. Shockey is a quality playermaker on the field and a headache for the Giants off the field

I think playing the waiting game is a good move by the Giants. Shockey has more to lose
here than the Giants. Not to say that Boss is a better player than Shockey (because at this point
he is not) but the Giants have a good amount of play makers on offense and in order for Shockey
to hold his value at this stage in his career he needs to continue to play and sitting out is not a
great option for him financially and from a football aspect.
Shockey has been disrespected by the organization or so he says and as much as he is unhappy
the Giants are in the drivers seat on this one. I think he stays put with the Giants and they
work it out in the end but Shockey from day one was a headcase and from his rookie season he still
doesnt get team concept and just shutting your mouth and let the football do the talking.

Hey Martin, glad to see you made it over here!
This is a tough call. I personally hope he finishes his career in Blue so I might be bias in saying he probably stays. Its kind of a catch 22, the Giants want him to play well in order to get good trade value, but if he plays well and all is well then he might not want to leave, and the Giants might not want him to either.
I hope he plays, gets a few good games in early, gets his spirits up and all this crap blows over.

Looks like I was the closest
I was the one person who picked that Shockey was unlikely to be a Giant in 2009.
but that is no disrespect to Shockey, he is a good player; circumstances just didnt pan out here.
