Offense:

Started slow, running game was nonexistent, passing game in the 4th was unstoppable which was encouraging. Hopefully Baas won't miss any action. The unit needs to continue to gel.

Defense:

Is was nice to see Osi the pass rusher back on the field not Osi the run stuffer. They attacked Osi and Kiwi's side all afternoon. BTW Kiwi can't play backer for shit. Its not getting any better. They need to get his hand back on the ground. Greg Jones aka Beanie Wells door mat to the endzone is way too slow. It limits ability in coverage and getting to the sideline.

Osi's speed looked back to normal which is a good thing. Seeemed to lack good run support on his side though.

Cruz made some nice plays once again. well... minus the "coulda been fumble play" Still nice catch though.

Manningham was rusty as expected. nice sideline catch though.

This team certainly has legitimate concerns and definitely has areas that must be improved (as we all know), but I will give this team some credit, they are playing hard for the entire game. Finishing games off has been a problem in recent years. This year we have two fourth quarter comebacks to win.

Certainly not pretty and let's not go into why we were on that position, but it is a very positive sign.

It isn't the size of the dog in the fight that matters, what matters is the size of the fight in the dog.

One thing that has been to see is how well Jake Ballard has stepped up. This guy has caught everything thrown in his direction so far from preseason up until now.

yeah but our TE play is really crap. It pisses me off how well Boss is doing in Oakland

what? you watching the same game? What more do you want from a traditional tight end? Ballard has by far exceeded my expectations.
Also, until proven otherwise. Ballard has better receiving hands than Boss does.

I didnt watch the game, but did see the Oakland game. Ballard is decent, but he isn't a huge weapon over the middle yet.

Mind you Beckum and Pascoe are pretty much AWOL.

I also think that with Tuck's injury, we need to move Kiwanuka to DE.

@ The TE concerns. Ballard has exceeded my expectations by far. Beckum and Pascoe have done well blocking, especially Beckum. Problem I have with them is that we don't seem to have a true #1 TE. They are all 2's on nearly every other team in the NFL at their best. But we can get by this year on what we have. In the offseason we may need to make an upgrade. But as of right now I like what I see outta them and they should only get better.

I agree. Its not because Dave is doing bad because he's not. Dude is playing great. But guys were tired. Beanie wore us down. With that said at times Kiwi did line up at LDE when he did JPP played UT. Kiwi is not playing well as a LB at all. He's hesitant, slow, and stiff. 2 of Beanie's TD's were because Kiwi got caught out of position.

That's it exactly, the cornerstone of our defense is the pass rush.

We need s rotation to keep our guys fresh.

At SLB, I would rather see what Herzlich, Williams and Paysinger can do
