Giants defeat Bills; Review

Post  56 Crazed Dogs on Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:19 am

Finally the Gmen put together a decently played complete game.

Eli looked at his best. Very good passing and a few passes were dropped that would have made Eli look even better.

Bradshaw kept his legs moving and fought for some tough yards. He made a lot out of nothing and looked awesome punching the ball into the end zone for three scores. Much better than last weeks performance.

"Beat 'em up Ballard" I love this guy. Just what the Giants need every week. A big, physical, & reliable TE that catches everything thrown his way.

Manningham finally came out of his shell and is playing the way we all hoped he would.

Nicks. A solid go to guy as always.

Offense was much better than last week converting third downs. They went 5-11 compared to last weeks 1-12. Excellent job with ball security. No fumbles or INTs. Also, no sacks allowed. Good job O-Line!
This is what will win you games.

The Giants defense let up a few big plays early that could have severely cost them the game.

All in all though, I think the defense stayed composed and did a nice job bouncing back.

I'm a big Fred Jackson fan but minus the long 80 yard run by Jackson, I think the Giants kept him in check the best way that any team could have.
The Giants are still vulnerable on run plays up the middle though.

JPP had a big game as usual. He is for real out there.
Kiwanuka also stepped up big for us.

Webster got burnt badly for a Bills touchdown reception but did a nice job keeping focus and coming back with an INT. Two for the day actually.

Boley was flying around the field aggressively. This year, he seems to finally be earning that big contract the Giants gave him.

Special Teams

Another nice outing by Weatherford.

Tynes still makes one hold their breath during every FG attempt.

Good job of return coverage by not allowing any big returns. This is an area that the Giants have been struggling at previously.

This was a good win. We beat a solid team. I'm very pleased with our oline. Hopefully they can build on that performance. They get the game ball.
