Really appreciate BJ's time here with the Gmen and now owning the Giants all time touchdowns record!

Jacobs and Giants were only 500k far apart from re-signing so I think that spoke volumes about the Giants really wanting him back.
I know the Giants liked Brandon's leadership, blocking skills, and team first attitude but unfortunately without a strong O-line in front to get a hole started he just wasn't elusive enough to create his own. Not a knock at him, he just isn't made that way.

Devin Thomas, a great special teams player who was a key part of the Giants road to the Superbowl. Your 2 fumble recoveries in the NFC championship game against the niners will always be remembered.

I thank both of these players for the fond memories. Both had their ups and downs, but they both contributed greatly to our two big SB wins. Hopefully we will replace them soon and I wish them well in future endeavors.

Hopefully we can try to find a featured RB now. I was hoping we would resign Thomas, I think he has more potential then just special teams. But our STs does take a hit without him.

Do you think we need a featured back, or do you think the two pronged approach is better. Featured backs are expensive and if one goes down, the drop down is usually extensive. I kind of like the backfield group approach. I think we need to replace Jacobs, but it may make sense to get a compliment to Bradshaw rather than a featured back to replace to two of them.

I think the coaches have more faith in Ware than I've ever seen or known about.

Losing Thomas is a huge hit to ST's but we thought the same thing when we lost David Tyree then came along Michael Clayton.
We will also be getting Hixon back.

Yea as much as I liked Jacobs I felt we were very predictable with him and Bradshaw. So a more well rounded back to share the load with Bradshaw at first but then eventually replace him would be ideal. I dont know if we'll find that but we'll see.

Fair points. But I wonder if the predictability was more of Gilbride's poor running game plans and the aging O-line. I feel like gilbride calls great passing plays, but the running game has been weak.

I think ideally we want a RB who could compete with Bradshaw for playing time. Let's face it, Bradshaw hasn't been able to stay healthy.

One guy that I like in the draft is Robert Turbin from Arizona St. I think he could be a physical style of RB that can keep the chains moving.

I am not a huge fan of Ware to be honest.

I agree Pete, Turbin is one of the guys I'm pretty high on as well. Reminds me a lot of Ricky Williams.

His running style reminds me a lot of Bradshaw's in his rookie and second year. That's a good thing.
Turbin looks to offer more in the receiving game though.
