Should the Giants consider adding a RB?
First of all the Giants have a solid group at RB
I think it is fair to call our RBs solid, but generally not spectatcular. The running game is a huge part of the Giants offense
If the opportunity presents itself, should the front office consider upgrading our running backs?
For example, should Reese consider making a trade offer for Steven Jackson?
He is currently holding out at the Rams and we could possible get him for a reasonable trade (perhaps for a 2nd round pick, Derrick Ward and a conditional day 2 pick?); A RB rotation of Jackson, Jacobs and Bradshaw behind our offensive line would be nasty. Jackson would add a genuine weapon out of the backfield in the passing game.
But there are certainly other options at RB as well.

This is largely just speculation, but there are some issues that need to be sorted.
Our offense is certainly not firing on all cylinders and our red zone offense continues to suffer.
An vastly improved running game seems to be the answer for both...

No, We won't have enough money to pay Jackson and offer Jacobs a realistic deal as well.
Even though 3 of our current rb's contracts will be up at the end of the year, we'll still have enough money to re-sign Ward and Jacobs, pay them fairly, and still have a very good backfield.

Doubt it. Reese loves draft picks and the Giants got a lot of them.
Scoring troubles? It's preseason! I'm not worried yet,

How exactly?
Jacobs is a 4th rounder, Bradshaw a 7th; we traded Tim Carter for Droughns; Harris, Ware and Ward are all free agent pickups (as was Ryan Grant)
Hedgecock and Douglas are also free agents
We only drafted two out of 8...

Perhaps, but we did have similar problems last year as well.
Jaconbs is looking good. Ward is solid, I was hoping to see more from Bradshaw though...
