The New York Giants or as I like to call them the Garden State Giants because they play in New Jersey not New York. By the way for those of you who do not know this little bit of info, The Garden State is the state of New Jersey’s marketing nickname. Anyway, The Giants do not need to go out and get Michael Strahan out of retirement. This is garbage that the TV media has promoted because they love Michael and think he has retired to early. The media is trying to manufacture a comeback story. Mathias Kiwanuka is the answer to the Giants pass rush situation. He should have been a DE all along and now he will become a star if they move him from OLB to DE and let him do what he was meant to do all along, rush the passer - not drop into coverage!

I don't blame Coughlin for putting Kiwi in at OLB. He wanted to find a way to have his best players on the field. It was a bold move and it worked.
It's hard to say it's a bad move when it helped them get to the Superbowl. Kiwi showed more than Reggie Torbor while in there. Although, Torbor was efficient also.

Personally I would have preferref to have Kiwanuka and Osi splitting time at RDE.

No disrespect to Osi, but I have the feeling that Kiwanuka may end up as an upgrade over Osi by around mid season (once he gets his reps in).

There is still no excuse for not getting more LB talent early in the last couple of drafts (imho).
