The interesting one here is Rob Ryan

I expect they add assistant Head Coach; otherwise Al Davis would have to give the ok for it as it wouldn't be a promotion.

what schemes will they run?

Eric Mangini prefers a 3-4 and Cleveland is built around a 3-4; but Ryan is a 4-3 guy (as is his father and brother)

My guess is Ryan will adapt to the 3-4

Mangini has offensive, defensive coordinators in mind

New Browns head coach Eric Mangini has zeroed in on Jets QB coach Brian Daboll as his offensive coordinator, and he'd like Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan to take the same job with the Browns. Though saying that nothing "is set in stone," Mangini said Thursday that his first preference was to hire Daboll and Ryan. Daboll coached the Jets’ quarterbacks from 2007-08. Ryan, like Daboll, worked with Mangini in New England. He’s run the Raiders’ defense for the past five years. Ryan’s contract is expiring, so he’s free to join the Browns. The Raiders primarily employed a 4-3 defense last season, but Ryan is well-versed in the 3-4, which the Browns will continue to run. “There’s a ton of flexibility, and it has been very effective over time,” Mangini said of the 3-4, the primary defensive alignment for the Jets and Patriots, as well as three of the four AFC teams that made the divisional round (Baltimore, Pittsburgh and San Diego).
