Here is my first attempt at a 3 round mock for next year (without compensation picks).

Hopefully it will give some insight into the depth of talent available in next year's draft

I know I will take some flak from some areas with this mock

I have the Giants taking
Jermaine Gresham, Hakim Nicks, Kenny Britt and Captain Munnerlyn - here is why

1. I expect that Toomer and Burress will not be back

2. Manning has shown he needs excpetional recievers; he isn't the type of QB that can star with solid recievers (eg like Brady pre 2007). With that in mind the Giants front office will try to to upgrade receivers as the priority this offseason.

3 We are solid at other positions and we certainly will be upgrading them (LB, DT, DE, S) in later rounds with the excellent depth of those positions in the draft and likely additional compensation picks; if we bring in any free agents, it will likely be in our defensive front seven..

4. All 4 are the best players available from a Giants percpective. Britt isn't essential, but is the best player by far. Nicks and Britt give us two recievers with genuine #1 WR potential. It will mean that our WR squad and TE dquads are loaded; Possibly:

WR: Nicks, Britt, Hixon, Smith, Manningham, Moss/Tyree
TE: Gresham, Boss, Johnson/Matthews

That will give Eli plenty of genuine weapons to work with for a very long time.

5. Munnerlyn is just the best player available, with Madison (cut), McQuarters (not resigned) and perhaps Dockery (RFA) quite possibly not returning extra CB depth is needed. Munnerlyn has the blazing speed that our other DBs don't have. This will be of great use matching up against the faster smaller recievers and also on special teams. Munnerlyn also has experience as both a kick and punt returner.
