Re: 4 round mock draft
As always, thanks for taking the time Pete. Looks like a lot of work went into that.
I wouldn't mind seeing a stud wr early but not so sure about taking two wr's and 3 Db's in the first 5 picks.
I'd like to see the giants go after a defensive lineman early since two of the giants starters will be going into contract years next season. Cofield and Robbins.

Re: 4 round mock draft
It will obviously change once free agency continues (and trades get done)
it was alot of work, but I wanted to se roughly how it all could shake down talent wise
most mocks only project the top couple of rounds and the draft is alot more than that
I had the feeling that DT and LB would filled in free agency
I also think the front office is reasonably happy with the good young talent we already have at WR and LB
I went by value, good value was available at WR and CB so I went that way; the other positions I wanted to go with went earlier than expected due to a run on OT, LB, DT and DE.
I see it as being a similar situation to when we drafted Kiwanuka and Manningham despite having plenty of young talent at their positions and bigger percieved needs elsewhere.
we are solid at most positions with starters and decent depth
we have 3 CBs plus dockery on likely a 1 year deal (and likely to be surpased by Thomas as the nickle back)
we have 2 safeties Johnson and Phillips; Johnson is a solid starter at best and is a better backup
look at the guys we lost from last year's roster McQuarters, Madison, Butler, Knight - thats 3 CBs and 2 S - we need to replace that at some point.
also these will be the guys who will be needed to upgrade our kick coverage.
I did seriously consider a centre at the bottom of the 2nd Eric Woodl but think Reese would prefer another big fast WR target for Eli (and our red zone offense)
anyways it is just an early rough idea
I agree with you about a Dlineman; but I can't see it; it is obvious that we are likely to sign a DT; this would be a damn good dline:
DE: Umenyiora, Tuck, Kiwanuka, Henderson/Tollefsen
DT: Robbins, Canty/Bernard/Smith, Cofield, Alford
I am not saying we won't add a dlineman, I just think it will be in the middle-late rounds
