Tuck's comments on team needs

Hopefully, we can get some secondary help, a couple of extra linebackers, and we have some offensive needs that I'm sure he's looking at also.

Re: Tuck's comments on team needs
It is curious that Tuck wants a couple of Linebackers.... This is the perception of someone within the team so has some credit (Although he isn't in the front office)
Most likely they would come through the draft
We are likely to take seven LBs on the roster again
Antonio Pierce and Michael Boley are likely starters - that leaves 5 spots
Brian Kehl and Jonthan Goff are good young talent whom the front office like alot and will likely be given time to develop - that leaves 3 roster spots
Zak DeOssie will likely keep a roster spot, he is solid depth and a stud special teamer; more importantly he (and Alford) opens up another roster spot traditionally used for the long snapper. - that leaves 2 roster spots
Add two LBs, plus we have Clark, Blackburn and Wilkinson.....
Wilkinson does have alot of talent, he just hasn't been able to stay healthy. If he can stay on the field (which is a big if) he likely has the inside running at a roster spot
Does it mean that Clark and Blackburn are on the outside looking in? Particularly as we have other young guys foe depth with alot more upside?
I had been thinking that Blackburn offers a solid backup and special teamer; but realistically Goff, Kehl and whomever we draft probably will do a better job on special teams and have better upside; DeOssie is a lock over Blackburn for the primary special teamer spot
With extra opportunities in training camp our youngsters should do well.
