Trade for Edwards, what price? Empty Trade for Edwards, what price?

There has been alot of speculation on the trade for Braylon Edwards

do what do we offer?

the giants have heaps of picks, but we know they love to build through the draft?

what about veterans?

Robbins is a definate option, he is a quality starter, but he is coming off injury, off contract after the season as is the wrong side of 30. Robbins would also free up around $3.3 million to use for the extension of Braylon Edwards.

Kiwanuka I don't see happening, he is the clear #3 DE now and will be a big part of our rotation and is singed through 2010

Cofield is another option, though less likely that Robbins; once again he is coming off injury but he is young with plenty of starting experience. I don't see him as much of an option.

Alford could be an option being buried on the depth chart; but he can play both DT and DE, is valuable on special teams; but he is young, cheap and signed through 2010, I don't see it happening

Sinorice Moss will be an option, but the Giants aren't going to give him away, they still like him alot and he is very cheap.

Gerris Wilkinson could be an option, he has talent, but hasn't been able to stay healthy. At best he will compete with Boley at WLB but would likely have to beat out Clark and Blackburn for roster spots

Blackburn and Tyree could be options. Both are solid backups and good special teamers but are limited in their primary role and adequte at best but have great work ethic. Interestingly these are both positions the Giants are actively trying to upgrade and have continually brought in better young talent. The writing is on the fall (imho), both have limited future as Giants.

So All in all the only player trades I could see happening is Robbins instead of a mid round pick and Tyree/Blackburn instead of a late rounder.

Perhaps something like Edwards for #29, Robbins, Tyree and conditional 2010 mid/late round pick based on Edwards 2009 production
