Hixon to the Dolphins?
Reports are coming out that the Giants are reportedly considering trading Domenik Hixon to Miami for a 5th round pick (#161)
There is no doubt the Dolphins need reciever help and if the Giants reload their WR corps with one (or more likely two) player(s) then there will be congestion for roster spots.
Add in that Hixon is off contract after the season and will be scheduled for a decent payday next year, there could be reasonable incentive for Reese to make this deal.
This is probably decent value for both parties.
I am not sure this will happen, but it is something I could see happening (albeit a long shot imho).

I think this is a stupid move, Hixon is a young developing player who has shown a lot of talent, plus the Giants are already stacked with picks this year. I see no reason for this move.

Re: Hixon to the Dolphins?
I agree with you Hampton, I dont think it will happen
particularly as we need WRs
we already have plenty of picks already
but I guess you never know, Hixon was reportedly offered in the earlier Browns deal for Edwards
maybe they are looking for ammunition to trade up in the draft?
but personally, I doubt it

I don't like it either.
Hixon needs to start returning kicks once again. He's worthy of a 5th rd pick just as a kr imo.

Re: Hixon to the Dolphins?
Absolutely, he's a stud KO returner, but if he's starting they won't have him back there. I think that will come down to getting Edwards or not. Even if they get Crabtree or Harvins (I know, a big what if...), I don't think Hixon will be returning them from the start. Maybe halfway through the season but not at the start.TD wrote:I don't like it either.

Re: Hixon to the Dolphins?
I really like the idea of Hixon as a #2 WR and primary kick returner
with our WR deoth we will likley use a reasonable level of rotation at #2, #3 and #4 WR
