Kevin Gilbride Interview 28 may Empty getting worried

Post  uncle odd Sun May 31, 2009 2:48 pm

although i like his responce to the first question. It shows he hasn't forgoten the results of the last few games. I am a bit worried that he seems to be hoping someone steps up instead of comming up with ways to use the talent that he's got. Even when he talks about travis beckum it sounds a little like he is going to try to stick him into steve smith's roll and hope that alone will creates a missmatch. But what really really worries me is when Shmelck asks him how he can play his best football offensivly in december. he says i dont think its realistic to think we can... Now i dont know about you but I dont ever want to here my OC say its not realistic to play your best when it counts most. I hope i'm just reading to much into this but i wish this guy seemed more confident or at least has something up his sleave this year to through at the deff.Well lets hope he's playing it close to the vest.

Personally I think Coughlin and Gilbride have things well in hand, They have plans and will work to get the best out of the players they have.

With that said, the Giants have a deep stable of talented young WRs all of whom have plenty of potential. I think it is reasonable to expect players to step up and improve, particuluarly when being given ample opportunity to get reps in training camp.
