Osi Umenyiora Empty Osi Umenyiora

I am wondering about Osi Umenyiora.

He doesn't seem to be the old Osi and seems to be a little out of sync with the rest of the team.

He does have that simmering contract issue and he did have that walk out on the team; Both have been publically put in the past, but I wonder if there are any lingering issues. Now he seems to have been relegated to more of a passing downs. He is certainly some way from the dominant player we all have come to expect from him.

I know this may be heresy for some people, but if we do trade a DE next year, I wonder if Osi could be that guy?
Trades will likely be alot more common if next year is uncapped and Osi is a proven performer and would also be a good fit for all those 3-4 teams. I could see a situation where a 3-4 team offeres a top trade for Osi.
Kiwanuka and Tuck seem to have that physicality that we prefer and can still put pressure on the QB.

There is a long way to go in the season and I am very curious to see how Osi responds; hopefully he turns it around

Take KC for example

Scott Pioli is know to make the big trades (eg Randy Moss/Matt Cassell etc) and knows the value of stud DE/OLBs (eg Adalius Thomas)

a guy like Osi Umenyiora would be a huge factor to that defense. They also have an extra 2nd round pick from Atlanta (Tony Gonzalez)

I could see Pioli making a very good offer for Osi. Say for example they offer to swap 1st round picks and give us their 2nd rounder,
I think Reese would consider that very seriously.

Having said that, I would much prefer Osi to get completely onto the same page as the rest of our defense
