Great read, thanks for posting

I think this unit is quietly shaping up as one of the top 5 defenses this year.

Our pass rush will be back.

We will also be stout in the middle, (for the first time in some years). Canty is playing great, and it looks like Linval Joseph will be starting sooner rather than later. Cofield, Alford have ability. Collins has flashed and Bernard can play (though looks to be the cut now).

(btw Linval Joseph is actually my early front runner for DROY)

Our LBs are still largely unproven, but it is shaping up well. I think mixing Kiwanuka at SLB at times is a great idea.

Our secondary is much improved.

I think our Secondary and Dline genuinely rate amongst the league's best

The biggest difference is Fewell, his scheme is aggressive and the players have all bought into it, it allows players the freedom to make plays. Fewell's scheme may be less Blitz happy than Spags, but it will attack.

More importantly Fewell and Coughlin has everyone's attitude on track.

We also have plenty of depth so Fewell can mix up and disguise what is happening.

Like any new system, there will be a settling in period before this defense really hits it straps, but expect a nasty defense my friends.
