Why the Giants cut Jy Bond in hopes of Matt Dodge becoming "The Man" without any competition is beyond me.

At the beginning of training camp I was like ..ok, so the Giants need to free up the roster space in other areas and they have a strong conviction that Dodge would be nfl ready so there's no need for another punter.
man were they wrong, as was I for believing them.

When I started this post, it was with the intentions of saying "hey, why don't the Giants bring Jy Bond back for the next two games and let the best man win the job."
Then I remembered. uh-oh... We have no place-kick holder so now we are stuck with Dodge.

Sure would have been nice if Sorgi didn't get hurt last week against the Jets. Jim Sorgi was a long time place kick holder for the colts and I thought originally that is what Sorgi was suppose to come to the Giants to do, as well as play back-up QB.

So the fact remains, we are pretty much stuck with Matt Dodge. So, better get used to many of the rookie mistakes, nail biting, head scratching, and hair pulling.

I am ok with Matt Dodge,

Sure he is inconsistent at the moment, but he will get better and he does have legitimate tools.

There will be growing pains, but I think Dodge will work through them, he is improving. Give him a little time and he will be fine.

Bond was much more inconsistent and didn't have the leg strength.
