The Giants made their roster moves

WR Sinorice Moss, QB Jim Sorgi, LB Adrian Tracy to IR
OL Kevin Boothe to PUP
WR Nyan Boeteng released

It is good to see Tracy stick around for another year, he looks like he has good potential.
Obviously the front office see ability in Sinorice Moss, though coming off contract it could be hard to see him being resigned in free agency, same for Sorgi.

Next week another 22 guys are trimmed, the clock is ticking....

Sinorice knows the playbook. That is his only benefit if he comes back sometime throughout the season.

Tracy would have made the practice squad anyways.

It will be interesting what the Giants do for an emergency qb. I'm content with Bomar as a back-up.

I think Tracy would have made the active roster, he may not have cleared waivers.

This gives an idea about our backup QB

Without Sorgi, the
Giants' reserve quarterbacks are Rhett Bomar and Dominic Randolph,
neither of whom has thrown a pass in a regular season game. Randolph, a
rookie who was signed on Aug. 19, has never taken a preseason snap.
"Rhett is number two on the staff right now," Coughlin said. "(We'll)
keep working with him. He's talented. We'll see how far we can go with
it." Coughlin said Bomar will play "a lot" Thursday night.
Coughlin was asked if it's difficult to find a veteran backup so close to the regular season.
"Well, it depends on what the availability and what the cost it," he
said. "I'm not saying we're doing that, but our people are not caught by
surprise by this. Our guys have been working on this for a couple of
weeks."

Matt Leinart is reportedly being shopped, he could also be released due to his contract. Although he is at the upper end of things, he would be a good fit behind Manning. Brady Quinn is another guy who could shake loose.

The Jets did release QB Kevin O'Connell, he could be an option, but he isn't the vet backup.

I disagree I don't think Tracy would have made the active roster but I guess it doesn't really matter now.

I'm content with Bomar as our backup. Hell we all know we are screwed anyways if we lose Eli. I still would like to see Randolph get some snaps.

Leinart doesnt have the arm strength for the NFC East. Brady Quinn on the other hand would be interesting. I don't think he would sign here but I'm for it. O'Connell is pretty much the same as Bomar, just Bomar has more upside imo.
