Clint Sintim to Green Bay for Nick Barnett

Sintim is an ideal fit for a 3-4 OLB which Green Bay needs

Coach Mike McCarthy said that Barnett would be on the bench behind A.J. Hawk and Desmond Bishop. Barnett has two more years to run on his contract.

Barnett is due a $5.5 million salary and a $6.9 million cap number in 2011; which is a lot for a backup o

It would mean we would get Barnett effectively for a 2 year, $12.5 million deal.

Barnett's base salaries are

2011: $5.5 million (+ $375,000 roster bonus + $150,000 workout bonus),
2012: $6 million (+ $375,000 roster bonus + $150,000 workout bonus)

Barnett would be an ideal fit at either SLB or MLB

I wouldn't trade for a guy who will be released. I like the idea of signing Barnett when he is. I think I mentioned it before but I like Nick Barnett and Kevin Burnett as possible FAs to help improve our LB group.
