Weatherspoon stands out at Missouri Pro Day
Posted: March 4th, 2010 | Gil Brandt | Tags: 2010 Pro Days, Brian Coulter, Danario Alexander, Jaron Baston, Missouri, Sean Weatherspoon
The 12 teams on hand for Missouri’s Pro Day Thursday were not only treated to a big lunch (something the scouts look forward to every year), but a first-hand glimpse at the Tigers’ most promising prospect, LB Sean Weatherspoon.
Weatherspoon (6-foot-1 1/4, 239 pounds), a senior, has a well-established reputation. But as well as he played at Missouri, he looked even better running drills Thursday, running a 4.53 and 4.52 40-yard dash and posting 35 bench press reps.

Those are some excellent numbers. The guy has it all. His draft stock is sky rocketing. We'll be lucky if he is still there at 15.

I think we will be ok, there are a ton of good OL and DL that will go early, plus I think teams will have McClain rated higher.
Also the teams ahead of us will be after 3-4 OLBs which there are betteroptions than Weatherspoon.
In fact Dansby's signing at Miami pretty much closes the other leading contenters to take a MLB/ILB early.
no doubt about it, Weatherspoon is a stud prospect and will be a great fit manning the middle of our defense for the next decade.
