Giants-Panthers Review
Positives:
-Good pass rush from front 4
-Nicks
Negatives:
-Too many drops
-Turn overs
-LBs poorly timed blitzes
-Special Teams
Over all:
We could have easily lost that game if Moore hadn't handed us those turn overs in the 2nd half. 3 Ints in the redzone could have been 3 TDs if we were playing a better QB. I thought the Panthers did a lot more wrong then we did right. They abandoned the run way too early. We have a lot to improve on, those turnovers can't happen and our running game was very lack luster. We must improve on Specials.

all very good points
I do think out run defense deserves some credit for the way they stepped up in the second half.

Pete they ran the ball 5 times during the second half by my count.

I thought Canty and Cofield got some nice push.
Kiwi deserves a star for his effort. He was all over the field making plays.
Nicks has to learn how to hang onto the easy passes as well as the hard ones
I agree Pizan, Moore gave away this game to the Giants.
However, you gotta give this secondary credit. They played like a swarm of bees around that football.
You can tell there's some talent there with our DB's
C'mon Dodge and ST's. Bad effort all around.
Reynaud didn't show anything special. I thought I would at least see a quick spurt but wasn't impressed.
He'll get a few more games before I make a real opinion.

Last time we met Williams and Stewart ran all over us. This time round we got the job done.Pizan wrote:Pete they ran the ball 5 times during the second half by my count.
Thats a huge improvement in my book and while we still have a ways to go, it is a promissing sign so far.

Actually Pete it was only Stewart who ran all over us last time around. Williams was out with an injury. Its a tough game to recall if you didn't watch it. Don't worry I can't blame you, it was painful. Stewart had almost 30 carries himself, the team had near 50 attempts. This time around they only had 23 rushing attempts. It was 16-14 panthers at half and they come out and only run the ball 5 times? Thats a huge coaching mistake on their part. Again I'm happy we got the W because thats all what matters but we didn't win as convincing as the score board indicates. If they come out and stick to their strength. . . we might be talking about how we lost this game.
