If you're happy with what the Giants did in their last two drafts, this won't be good news for you: Marc Ross, the team's director of college scouting, will interview for the Seattle Seahawks' vacant general manager job, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on his Twitter account.
1:37 p.m. UPDATE: Ross' scheduled interview with the Seahawks has been confirmed by someone familiar with the conversation between Ross and the team. The person requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak publicly for Ross or the Seahawks.
Ross, a former member of the personnel departments for the Bills and Eagles, joined the Giants in the spring of 2007 (after Jerry Reese plucked eight gems in the draft that year) and ran the team's next two drafts. Since Ross took over, the Giants have had very good success drafting players such as wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, safety Kenny Phillips, offensive tackle William Beatty, cornerback Terrell Thomas and others.

Re: Marc Ross to interview for Seahawks GM position
I don't think Ross will get the gig, at least yet. I think there are plenty of more experienced candidates out there at the moment.
also it seems Adam Schefter agrees
from rotoworld.com:
Giants college scouting director Mark Ross is scheduled to interview for the Seahawks' general manager position next week.
Ross, 35, has been a scout for the Eagles and Bills before landing his role with the Giants. The match seems like a long shot with much more high-profile candidates like Eagles GM Tom Heckert out there.

Re: Marc Ross to interview for Seahawks GM position
I know Jerry Reese was really high on Mark Ross by listening to some of his interviews last season.
That being said, outside of Nicks I'm not so sure what we have in last years draft as far as playmakers. I'm not sold on the short glimpses of Beatty and Sintim yet, but they have time.

Re: Marc Ross to interview for Seahawks GM position
What is a little concerning is that some of the high profile candidates seem to be pulling out of the seahawks gm race.
it will be interesting to see how Pete Carroll's imminent signing affects things
