With no CBA in place for 2010, alot of teams may cut players to trim inflated contracts.

please note, these are players whom I think could be cut outright, other players will be legitiate trade options; others will be Free Agents

Patriots: Adalius Thomas, Lawrence Maroney, Shawn Springs

New York Jets: Alan Faneca, Thomas Jones, Vernon Gholston

Miami: Joey Porter, Gibril Wilson

New York Giants: Rocky Bernard, Antonio Pierce

Dallas: Flozell Adams, Ken Hamlin, Marian Barber

Washington: Antwan Randle El, Clinton Portis

Tampa Bay: Byron Leftwich, Michael Clayton, Chris Hovan

Eagles: Brian Westbrook, Michael Vick

Baltimore: Willis McGahee

Seattle: Julius Jones

Cleveland: Dante Stallworth, Jamal Lewis, Eric Barton

San Diego: LaDanian Tomlinson, Jamaal Williams

what gets me is the number of RBs on the list.

I think the Giants will look to add a RB, most likely a Vet

I could easily see Brian Westbrook, Marion Barber, Thomas Jones or Julius Jones being added to our RB rotation

I don't think any of those players will be interested in playing third fiddle in our rotation. I'd take Barber in an instant but he'll get much better offers.

Actually I think they could be option

take Westbrook for example

He isn't an every down RB any more, plus is the wrong side of 30.Westbrook wouldn't be our #3 RB, he would be our primary RB on passing downs. The Giants would be a good fit for him as we have Jacobs, Bradshaw and Brown who can take a fair amount of the punishment. I also think we would offer more money than most people.
