Nicholas is viewed as a potential starter for the Giants. For the
Falcons, he opened last season as a reserve. He has started 24 of the

He's the type of guy we go after. He's a good character guy who can play all three LB spots. He would compete with Sintim and Goff. Not our ideal signing. We need a star caliber player there but its obvious Reese and the crew just want to patch our problem not fix it.

That was always on the cards, still Nicholas would be an improvement.

As far as coverage goes, yea he's an improvement. Goff is only a two down run stuffer and Nicholas excels in coverage. He'd be a good nickel backer for us at the very least.

MG is pumping the breaks on the Nicholas to Giants talk. He said he sniffed around and it isn't a sure thing. Still it fits considering we need a nickle backer.

Actually I could see Plax back for a cheap deal

He knows the system (very key in short offseason) and players. If Smith isn't ready a cheap one year deal is very possible.

with O'Hara, Seubert and Andrews gone

The fact we have been talking with Plax much of the day tells me there is real concern about Smith's health this year.

A one year deal and starting on PUP? Sounds like we can expect too much this year to me

As of now I think its more of a look good move. Giants can't seriously be considering it unless Smith isn't coming back. I think they just want to look good to other FA's. Thats always been something the Mara's understood, something that separates the Mara's and the Mike Browns; the good teams and the bad.
