Final mock II
This will be my last mock before the draft.
I don't think Osi will be traded (unless we get at least a second round offer)
This is the kind of thing I would expect later this week. Remember we draft for the future
32 DE Chandler Jones, Syracuse
A raw but physical DE with plenty of upside. He will be given time to groom for the future. This follows the long established practice of keeping our strength.Jones is probably a guy we could use inside on passing downs as well.
I still think we move Kiwi back to DE.
63 DT Derek Wolfe, Cincinnati
Wolfe is the kind of DT we like, powerful, athletic and versatile.
DT is the one need that we haven't addressed despite Reese's concerns about Austin's development
94 S George Iolka, Boise State
Iolka is a ballhaw safety that is too good to pass up. He doesn't have elite speed but he is a legitimate playmaker.
127 CB Ryan Steed, Furman
A physical CB with legitimate ball skills. Steed uprades our CB depth and special teams.
131 RB Vick Ballard, Mississipi State
A physical runner who doesn't fumble and has good hands. Ballard isn't flashy but he keeps the chains moving.
201 WR Thomas Mayo, Cal U
A physical small school WR with outstanding production (46 games, 268 rec for 4,378 yards (16.3 average) and 64 TDs. He adds WR depth and special teams
239 MLB Miles Burris, San Diego State
Burris is a developmental MLB prospect with good physical tools, is instincive and sheds blocks very well.

Re: Final mock II
Good find with Derek Wolfe Pete. He could be a real sleeper in this draft class.
This guy never gets pushed backwards even when taking on doubles.
Good size and motor, I really see no flaws in the bits and pieces I've watched.

Re: Final mock II
Seems to be the complete opposite of your other final mock. In the other you trade Osi and draft OL first. In this you keep Osi and draft DE in the first...

I am not sure Osi gets traded, but there are a few ways we can go.Pizan wrote:Seems to be the complete opposite of your other final mock. In the other you trade Osi and draft OL first. In this you keep Osi and draft DE in the first...
This is more like what I expect could happen, the first was more what I would like to see happen.
