PRO BOWL UPDATE

With the fan portion of the Pro Bowl voting having ended, four giants finished in first place at their respective positions. DE Justin Tuck (422,061 votes), OC Shaun O’Hara (364,088), OG Chris Snee (301,417) and P Jeff Feagles (231,555).

Four Giants finished second at their respective positions: OT David Diehl (209,447), FB Madison Hedgecock (229,081), PK John Carney (128,929) and special teamer Chase Blackburn (133,623).

Two Giants finished third at their respective positions: TE Kevin Boss (280,900) and MLB Antonio Pierce (207,969).

Brandon Jacobs was fourth among running backs with 406,567; James Butler was fourth at strong safety (105,307); and Michael Johnson fourth at free safety (93,900). Fred Robbins was fifth among defensive tackles (177,939).

QB Eli Manning (821,852) finished third amongst all NFL quarterbacks, behind New Orleans' Drew Brees (951,246) and Brett Favre of the Jets (880,833).

Players and coaches are voting this week. The Pro Bowl teams will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. on NFL Network.

Based on the fan voting (1/3 total), the Giants would have the following probowlers

Eli Manning
Shaun O'Hara
Chris Snee
David Diehl
Jeff Feagles

I would imagine that guys like Boss, Robbins, Hedgecock, Jacobs and perhaps Johnson and Butler will get a bit more respect from the coaching and player sections of the ballot.
